We are in the "2005 LSU" portion of the decline, correct (1st year post-Saban)?
If we get 2005-2012 LSU from 2024-2031 I will be a happy camper.

I would argue we have been slowly declining since January 2013. We hit our dynastic peak the night we mauled Notre Dame in Miami. It's difficult to sustain such a high standard and is entirely dependent upon the man at the top. When the man at the top can no longer hold that standard for himself, he can't possibly expect his players to hold it either. Hence one of the reasons why Saban chose to retire.
However, if tDecline means we go back to averaging one national championship every 10-15 years or so like we have been doing for the last 100 years of our program's history, I'll be okay with that.
Since 1960 and the advent of two platoon football, the only decade where Alabama has failed to win at least one national championship was the 1980s.
