PFF QB Rankings

This time last year, I was very skeptical of how well Cook was going to be able to execute the concepts that Moore liked to use. There are guys that throw it farther and guys that run better....but not many can throw it as far and run as well as Brady. If he stays healthy, this offense will be elite.

The strength of this offense is it's balance, and Cook is emblematic of that. Opposing defenses get frustrated as shite when they have all of the receivers accounted for and he pulls it down for a 20 yard gain.

I'm ready for the season to start. While the first 4 games don't really "excite" me, I'm ready to watch them play. And, I'm glad they get 4 games to gel and fix any issues prior to A&M.

This is the key to the season.

He's a white Lamar Jackson with a lesser arm but slightly better accuracy (than Jackson).

I still want to see the WR core with a QB who can take the top off a defense ... but wish Cook well in the coming season.

I’ve heard Cook has worked a lot on his arm strength in the off-season. If he can threaten even a little to different areas of the field that would be a win.

But his biggest step forward gotta be decision making. Most of his TOs last season were just horrid decisions.

I think you nailed about his decision making. Not hitting defenders in the chest would probably cut his INTs thrown in half. If he can see the winning cues a little faster vs a given coverage, he would hit the WR in stride instead of letting the CBs recover. He's never going to have an NFL arm but that isn't required to win in college.

He is a solid season away from being 3rd in career passing yards and 3rd in TD passes in program history. I just hope he stays healthy.

His arm is solid but he has injured his throwing arm the last 2 seasons. That is the bigger issue.

When did he injure his arm in 2023? I never heard that. He hyperextended his knee vs. K-State.

I'm not sure about his arm strength increasing, but one thing I've noticed from watching all the camp videos is that he's throwing a much tighter spiral now.

We are approaching the red pole of the season and not much has went right for Cook.

He needs 500 yds to pass Brad Smith in Passing Yds for 3rd, He is currently 2nd to Chase in Completion %, 4th all time in TDs, and 2nd in Passer Rating. Its a shame he couldn't stay healthy.
