Cue Seth Emerson's article from a few years ago about how 5,000 of these people are concession stand workers, top flite security guards, media nerds, etc.

i know i stand in shallow area here, but i think it’s time we lose the view and close it in make it 110,000

I don't' see the demand being there in 10-15 years.

Times have changed, and changed quickly. The trend nowadays is to actually decrease capacity and improve amenities. Granted not everywhere (like Sanford..) has gone all in on that yet but many other places are. We barely fill up for the moderate opponents as is. The lower level games we don't fill up and that NE corner seems to barely have people in it. I can't imagine the empty seats we'd have with 20K extra seats.

Plus, one of the great things about CFB is how unique it is compared to the pros. Almost all pro stadiums are boring replicas of one another. Sanford is one of a kind in CFB not only being dropped down into a valley but having that open end to look out upon campus. I would hate to lose that someday.

I agree on the character of college stadiums. I also go for the game not the concessions. That said, I am more about speed and efficiency than overall quality. Give me a coke, bag of peanuts, and a three day old hotbog but don't make we wait 15 minutes for it.

I agree. It'd be different if the sun set in that direction, but it doesn't. It's not a bad view, but it's not as if we're looking at a bunch of beautiful culturally important classic architecture. It's just a bunch of generic buildings built in the 60s and 70s.

I didn't want this thread to turn into this.

To get back on topic here is what our AI overlords think of this specific number.

So we can play 5 of our 13-17 games there?

I came to the core number 9 as soon as you posted this, but I'm trying to avoid Satan these days. Peter still dabbles.
