Texas A&M AD ran off Schlossnagle before the postseason run

A conversation Schlossnagle and AD Trev Alberts had prior to the postseason:
“(Alberts) said to me, ‘You know, Jim, if you ever don’t feel like this is the place for you, that’s OK, and it’s OK to move on.’ I was a little taken aback by that, and that was the moment that I began to think that maybe this wasn’t going to work out.
Also, stated was the firing of key staff and budget cuts in the wake of Jimbo firing. Plus the slow walking of long promised stadium renovations.

Schloss is full of shite. Want to know how I know? The fact that this "interview" occurred with the Fort Worth Star Telegram. As someone who has an office in Fort Worth, I can tell you that the Fort Worth Star Telegram is basically Texas AD Del Conte's personal propaganda machine. It has always been that way and hasn't changed since Del Conte left for Utx. I assume because it has a history of Utx grads working there over the years.
Schloss's reputation has taken a big hit in the state of Texas baseball circles this week. He's just trying to make himself and Utx look to be less scummy than they are.

The budget cuts by Allen Greene negatively affected our coaches and they were not happy with him.

You mean Schloss went to the Star-Telegram in Fort Worth to have his buddy that covered TCU give this Q & A? He’s absolutely trying to save face after he threw his tantrum in the press conference. It’s a smart move for those that are gullible, but absolutely no way this is the entire story. He wanted to work for his bestie and needs to just own that and move on
If it is true and our AD did indeed “run off” our best coach in the athletic department, he won’t be around long. We have way too many big donors that would have done everything possible to give Schloss everything he wanted to be successful. Especially after the year he just had. The AD is smart enough to avoid pissing off the wrong people, and the big money donors are those people
