Charges will be dropped. Cam/Hootie factor... Can’t ruin his life. He’s been “working and sweating” while we are all in the air conditioning.

Didn’t he hit a lady going 125 mph and burn her to death?

Lets put this on Bama, not Ruston. Once he crossed the Ouachita River he was theirs.

It is amazing how many professional athletes, especially football players, seem to have impulse control issues.

What exactly is “second degree domestic violence burglary”? Whatever it is, I was surprised that bond was only $5,000.

My guess is he broke into a house for the purpose of battering his significant other.

I found it.

quote:

The defendant is charged with domestic violence in the second degree.

A person commits the crime of domestic violence in the second degree if he/she commits the crime of burglary III and the victim is a current or former spouse, parent, child, any person with whom the defendant has a child in common, a present or former household member, or a person who has or had a dating relationship with the defendant.

To convict, the State must prove beyond a reasonable doubt each of the following elements:

(1) [Insert the elements of Burglary III, 13A-7-7]; (AND)

(2) The victim [Insert Victim's Name] was [Read as appropriate]:

(a) a current or former spouse of the defendant;
(b) parent of the defendant;
(c) child of the defendant;
(d) a person with whom the defendant had a child in common; (e) a present or former household member of the defendant; (OR)
(f) a person who has or had a dating relationship with the defendant.

I didn’t realize that if someone steals something from a family member, room mate or someone they have dated in Alabama it results in a domestic violence charge. But it appears to be that way. That is kind of screwed up IMO. Why wouldn’t a burglary/theft charge be sufficient regardless of relationship? Things like this are why so many people distrust the criminal justice system. This just seems like the type of law that could be exploited by a disgruntled and vengeful ex.

Bama fans can’t take pride in former players doing good things after they leave and then act like they aren’t part of the Bama program when they frick up.

The good thing about having 50+ players in the NFL, is there are plenty to choose from.
