Do you follow recruiting? Bama/UGA/Texas/LSU almost always out recruit OU. ATM does as well. UF does on occasion. Sorry if it’s hard to accept, but being “top 10” in recruiting isn’t gonna cut it. You will need to be top 2 or 3 if you want to be “loaded” in this conference.

Rivals: 2022-8
2023-6
2024-7
2025(current) 3

It’s funny you brought up Texas. Texas was out recruiting OU during the Brown years and look how that ended up. I’m not sure using Texas as one of the measuring sticks helps. I’m not saying OU is going to be better than or more loaded than the likes UGA or Bama but its just arrogant to place them middle of the pack when the only teams from the SEC who have beaten them recently were elite teams that would have beaten any team those years.

I’m just saying it’s weird how much SEC fans dislike OU. On a side note, watch out for A&M bc you’re right. They’re probably the next front runner for the SEC.

2023 talent Composite:

OU was 9th, which on the surface is good. But that put them as 6th amongst SEC teams rather than 2nd amongst Big 12 teams last year. There were 3 more SEC teams rated as having more talent before the next highest talent Big 12 team on the list.

Talent isn't everything in college football, but it is a big factor. Having 1 regular season game against a more talented team is an easier challenge to face than having 3-4 (which is what OU will likely face. Having 2 opponents in the top 20 in the nation in talent is easier than facing 4-6 opponents in that range.

The reality is only four teams in the new 16 team SEC were out of the top 25 in talent last year. MSU (29th), UK (31st), Arkansas (32nd) and Vandy (58th). Vandy had more talent than UK, Iowa State and Kansas State.

It's going to be harder in the SEC. OU can still have success, but you're going to have some 9-3 seasons that would have been 11-1 seasons had you played in the Big 12.

So 2022 you were lower than Bama, Tamu, Texas, UGA

In 2023 you were lower than Bama, UGA, Texas, LSU

In 2024 you were lower than UGA, Bama, Texas, LSU, Auburn

What about my post are you disputing?

You were the one who brought up recruiting. You are middle of the pack in recruiting in the SEC.

I don’t dislike OU. Just stating facts
