I think they might actually get bigger. If the NCAA allows it, 25% of the team will be on NIL, so the schools can give out all 85 scholarships to kids that otherwise wouldn't make a team.

Thyre already in the process of eliminating walk ons. The writing is on the wall--college athletes will eventually be given employee status and get revenue sharing. They don't want to split the pie up to 120 players. Walk ons will go to FCS programs and try to portal up.

If the athletes are employees, you better believe there will be strict roster limits, just like the NFL.

NCAA is not going to have any say in the matter. The promoter of a nice collegiate basketball tournament no longer has any relevancy in college football....the courts have rendered them impotent to regulate anything and without some sort of quasi anti-trust exemption there is nothing that one school might do that can be stopped by one or a group of schools. It used to be pretty common for big programs to have huge rosters...some 30 or so will again sooner than later....
