Texas and Oklahoma aren’t south either. That is the Midwest. And Texas considers itself its own country

I actually agree with them being more Midwest. However they’re still southern states. Missouri is def an odd ball.

In February, 1861, Texas legislators voted overwhelmingly to leave the Union, 166 to 7. It was the most lopsided vote for secession in any state in the lower South, with the sole exception of South Carolina.

I'm pretty sure Texas gets the lifetime pass in the SEC.

About 20%, maybe, of east Texas is southern. The rest is either Midwest or southwest. The hill country is uniquely Texas and while sharing aspects of the south and mid-west is what most people think of when they think of Texas. Houston is southern, Dallas / FW is not.

I know several folks from Oklahoma and they seem more southern than most Texans I know. This is true of most people in the mid-west that aren't in major cities, in my experience. All that being said most Texans and Land Thieves seem like good people....its fun to poke fun at Texas and Texans because they react like puppets but at the end of the day they are, in my experience, good people.
