Good list. We didn't start our softball program until 1997, but hopefully we can keep moving up the list..

OU's program is ridiculous.. I expect that lead to grow.

Auburn’s program started the same year.

Those West Coast teams were basically able to dominate the sport with very little competition from any other geographic region up through the 1990s

From 1982-1999, UCLA made the WCWS 15 out of 18 seasons… Arizona and Fresno State each 12 times out of 18.

Cal State Fullerton made it 6 times. Long Beach State 5 times. Cal and Cal Poly Pamona each made it 4 times.

The only current SEC program that was competitive back in those days was Texas A&M who made it to the WCWS 5 times, the National Finals four times, and they won 2 National Titles….. all before the year 2000.

Really?

I don't care who says something like this.

It is purely a losing mentality.

"Oh, just 26+ years ago we started our softball program. Yes, we still have a long ways to go. But you know what? We only had over two full decades to figure it out."

Come on now. Gotta get called out for that mentality. Quit acting like a perfect example of a "sip".
