Georgia is the better hitting team, but SC is better on the mound. Georgia has shown improvement on the mound as they have the pitcher of the week in Leighton Finley. Insert spider tack joke here.

Batting avg
1. Tennessee . 3 2 2
2. Texas A&M . 3 1 4
3. Alabama . 3 0 8
4. Georgia . 3 0 6
5. Kentucky . 2 9 3
6. Vanderbilt . 2 8 5
7. Mississippi State . 2 8 5
8. LSU . 2 8 4
9. South Carolina . 2 7 7
10. Florida . 2 7 1
11. Arkansas . 2 7 1
12. Auburn . 2 6 8
13. Ole Miss . 2 6 4
14. Missouri . 2 5 3

Earned run avg
1. Arkansas 3 . 3 6
2. Tennessee 3 . 8 2
3. Texas A&M 3 . 8 9
4. Mississippi State 4 . 1 6
5. LSU 4 . 4 9
6. South Carolina 4 . 4 9
7. Kentucky 4 . 6 4
8. Vanderbilt 4 . 8 3
9. Georgia 5 . 3 1
10. Alabama 5 . 5 8
11. Missouri 5 . 6 1
12. Auburn 5 . 9 0
13. Ole Miss 6 . 0 6
14. Florida 6 . 2 6

When Will Tippett went out we got worlds better at the dish. Our defense is not quite as good, though I think the run production has improved more than enough to justify it.

should be a good series overall

How the heck does Arky have that record with that batting average?

I mean, I get that the ERA is impressive, but A&M and Tennessee are also top 6 in that.

Not trying to knock the Hogs. Just seems like a disconnect.
