Losing 7 games (5 of them blowouts) with a Heisman winner playing QB and two first round WR's seems like a pretty big underachievement.

Or we could say that Kelly has never had talent like he has at LSU and has already developed a Heisman winning quarterback and two first round receivers despite it being the first two seasons of a rebuild.

I'm sure you'd spin it that way if it were Alabama.

Ed Orgeron in year 1 at LSU finished 18th in the nation.
In year 2 he finished 6th (first year with great QB).
In year 3 he finished 1st (2nd year with great QB).

Kelly in year 1 at LSU finished 16th (first year with great QB).
In year 2 at LSU he finished 12th (2nd year with great QB)

So far he's lagging a little behind Ed Orgeron pace. If he wins a national title this year he'll equal Ed. If not he'd be behind him in terms of performance.
