You got to also remember it's more fluid than ever to become elite. Miami is already putting together top 10 high school recruiting classes. If this portal class puts them in the playoff this upcoming season it will be worth it for them and they will only heighten their profile for the best high school players a la Georgia. I can say the same about Ole Miss.

Lastly, I don't think Miami has to outbid anyone. They do seemingly have unlimited funds but they also are selling living in Miami.

No doubt, but LSU still theoretically has the advantage in these areas.

All schools are paying players, I don't know if anyone disputes that.

Some are throwing a lot of money at talented players to overcome their deficiencies in other areas, this is what Kelly is referring to by "buying players."
