You cherry picked 2010 and later because the big 12 was very dominant before that. Also OU and Texas have always maintained top SOS. OU has always played Nebraska and Texas yearly who combine for more NCs than the rest of the SEC combined if you don’t count Bama and TN.

OU regularly had 2 teams on the schedule that had won a natty and those 2 teams regularly had Oklahoma on the schedule. It was usually a 1-2 game regular season for all 3 of those teams with a bunch of patsies filling out the rest of the year. In the SEC there are 6 teams with multiple national titles who play one another fairly regularly. In most seasons there are 4-5 games on the schedule in the conference where your opponent is as good as anyone in the nation...week in and week out, year after year...it is a different beast.
