The Border War (as the Augusta and North Augusta Chambers have tried to name it) has been played 76 times in what, 120 years? It is a shame for it to go away. Augusta and North Augusta put on a pretty good event the evening before the game that will be missed. Its not as good now that its in the Greenjackets Stadium but still a pretty good event. It's not even about the record between the two schools. I work with UGA/Tenn grads. My neighbor is a Florida fan. I've driven to those schools for games. Those gameday weeks with all of those people are a lot of fun when our two schools play and that's been taken away. It's just unfortunate. I don't work with or live near any A&M/Missouri/Oklahoma fans/grads, and I have to fly to those games if I want to attend. The whole "college football" experience just seems to be going away.
