List of former champions, in alphabetical order:
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Kentucky
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Tennessee
Tulane
Current members who have never won a championship;
Arkansas
Missouri
Oklahoma
South Carolina
Texas
Texas A&M
Vanderbilt
Who is the most likely to step up and join the club?
I’m thinking Oklahoma or maybe Mizzou…
Bonus question; does a newbie join the list before Tennessee gets another one?

Oklahoma/Texas are the only ones who can even maybe do it. But Texas only won what, like 3 Big 12 titles?
So i’ll say Okie be default.

Actually with the new rules on buying players only those with mony will have a shot.
Goden flakes
Yella wood
and childrens hopitals dont really have the wow factor they used to have when they were doing it under the table. They will run out of money trying to keep up in these new times.

The Big 12 was pretty rough on Texas; imagine what the SEC's going to be like for them.
Could be rough for the Cows...........

With the removal of division there’s probably a zero percent chance that Mizzou ever gets one much less gets one before a Texas school.

… as they finished the season top 7 and will likely start the season top 10.

If Drink stays put and the recruiting continues the way it has, I like our odds way better than A&M's over the next decade. And I think beyond that, one of these teams (probably Texas) will have won the SEC at least once, so then it's moot because the topic is which is the most likely to get there first.
If the question is "who has more resources to go to war in the SEC over the next 25 years", then I agree, A&M is way ahead of Mizzou. But we're in a better spot to win than they are immediately.

Aggies will always screw it up.
They just don't have the winning culture to be a winner.

Preseason last year y’all were talking about firing drink for his 4 previous losing seasons. He has 1 good season and and he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread.
After the 2021 season everyone was talking about what a great job Sam Pittman was doing and he was a perfect fit at Arkansas. Come to find out he just had the right players at the right time who were sick of losing and and took it upon themselves to win.
We’re talking apples and oranges here but you may want to temper your expectations. Drink is still that same coach who sucked before last year.
