Doesn't this count as twice, back to back? Yes, yes it does.

Maybe I'm crazy, but wouldn't those count as four times?

1971 and 1972 seasons - 1
1972 and 1973 seasons - 2
1973 and 1974 seasons - 3
1974 and 1975 seasons - 4

If so, then 1964-1966 would count as 2 times, and so would 1977-1979 and 2014-2016. This would add 4 to the total Bama "back to back" titles listing and give the Tide 10 total back to back SEC titles.

Works for me. It also implied that Coach Bryant choked the life out of college football through the 70s. Once Bear got his hands on African American talent he won more games in a decade than any program previously. 8 SEC titles, and 3 NCs in 10 years ain't bad in the SEC.

In a similar fashion...as much as I hate to admit it:

Florida
1993 and 1994 season - 1
1994 and 1995 season - 2
1995 and 1996 season - 3

Crazy thing is...they are an Antonio Langham Pick 6 (in the SECCG) away from adding 1991 and 1992 to that string.
