This is so odd, multiple daily threads. And about recruiting rankings no less.
We had the #1 class last year and a couple of sophomores and seniors and lost 11 games, and to a team named Oakland from Michigan. Not sure why anyone would think pounding their chests about Cal's recruiting makes sense.

Arkansas and Kentucky are most definitely basketball rivals, even before Cal. Arkansas and Kentucky make SEC basketball.

True, Kentucky is SEC basketball, because everyone else sucked at it, until Arkansas came in and made it better.

Kentucky owns Arkansas head to head in football and basketball. Hardly the makings of a rivalry.

As for football, if we played more often, Arkansas would have the winning record head to head. Kentucky has sucked at football a lot more than Arkansas has.

Seriously. Since Arkansas hired Calipari they have become as unbearable as the Tennessee baseball guys. I don't have a horse in this race but it feels like everytime I get back on here there's a brand new thread saying similar things as the OP.

McFadden wasn’t the issue, he did his job. It was Houston Nutt. Kentucky was solid that year as well. Y’all even beat LSU that year as well.

Maybe in the future. Right now, it's beneath us. They gotta prove it on the court. Florida, LSU and Arky(in the past) did on their own. Hiring our battle-ridden head coach isn't gonna get them there.

We’ve already been there. We came into the conference and won it plus a national championship, our games were on Super Bowl Sunday, a lot of great games with national interest which didn’t happen before in the sec.
We’ve fallen off since nolan called us rednecks, turds and assholes and forced us to hire a coach we wouldn’t have normally taken, but muss proved we can still compete with the right guy and we’ll see how cal pans out. Kentucky is a shell of what they used to be, no one is storming the court for beating you anymore, it’s expected and will continue from now on.

Arkansas has 6 players and 1 actively wants to go to the NBA.
Don’t worry though, we were in this exact same spot until June last year so hopefully a coach will get a DUI and say a slur on the radio so you can fill out your roster.

Arkansas' roster this year isn't going to have 2 lottery picks (even though they came off the bench)
Our roster was going to be significantly worse than this past year which is a reason next season looked so grim with Cal at Kentucky.
