Already happened for me. Saturdays used to be sacred to me. Fortunately I have a huge lake behind my house within 100 yards. So I’ll watch the Dawgs and a few big games but ultimately I don’t care anymore. Then go fishing. It’s lost its luster. And I don’t know how it will ever get it back. I’m happy the Dawgs win 2 ina row and I got to see one of them in person though. Crappie are biting. But that won’t last through any football season so, yeah, I’ll be watching it again lol. Damn you! You a psychologist or some shite?

Only reason I said that is because you got the exact response I feel about it, but I bet a lot of people feel the way I do.

I'm almost there..before all this madness started I

1. Followed recruiting passionately
2. Checked in on spring practice updates
3. Would drive to the. Spring game
4. Would watch coach/player interviews
5. Couldnt wait for cfb Saturdays

Now I just wait til August 15 too peruse the the roster and start paying attention. And I just assume every kid on the team doesn't actually care one bit about the school they represent.

While I don't have a lake in my backyard, I feel exactly the same. My days of avid fandom are coming to a close. I am now in that generation that hates change

My weekends are already busy with kids and their activities but I use to try to make the schedule work to watch games. Now I just record if not around and even find myself only watching if a big game. Outside of UA I no longer have interest in watching games unless with friends. With the direction the game is going my may lessen as well.

I have no issue with players getting money but the system we are currently in is complete chaos that needs regulations. But programs now are trying to use the Wayne Huizenga approach to win a NC and it create very little excitement for me. To each his own I guess.
