I wasn't being a dick.. baseball is a funny game.. it's way way way too early for anyone to say that they know what will happen the rest of the season.. See Ole Miss in 2022.
See NC State in 2021.
See Tennessee in 2022.
It's April. Slow your roll a little bit.. You have a great team.. way better than Texas this year. You actually have a shot to win something.. perhaps you shouldn't be tempting the baseball gods by acting like your shite can't stink.
As bad as Texas is.. Texas could beat A&M in the regional.. It isn't likely, but it's possible.. baseball is a game where shite just goes sideways sometimes.. both good and bad..
Hell, LSU could win the championship this year and they are 3-12 in conference play right now.
What was the Ole Miss record in April of 2022?
What was Tennessee's record at that same time?

But where did I say that? Where did I make any outlandish predictions about the future?
I responded to someone who said we are “peaking,” with the answer that this has been a very steady team all season, both on the pitching and hitting side of the plate.

I get what you’re saying. It’s a long season. Nothing is determined yet, and young people tend to sound a little confident when they’re excited. Anyone expecting to win the College Series in April needs to slow down. I don’t tempt the baseball gods either.
But at the same time, sometimes with these other fan bases it just comes across as trying to rain on someone else’s parade… Because Aggies aren’t claiming to have won anything yet.
Appreciate the perspective, though. It’s possible to be happy about winning a game and still see there is a long way to go.

That’s obvious. Believe me, we’ve had our share of teams that peaked earlier. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a little troublesome. Just gotta enjoy the ride.
