This is the most relevant Iowa has been in sports in the 2000s and it didn’t even result in a Nat’l Championship. That’s how big she is

No comment other than, all things considered, you should probably change your team avatar back to the gators...

Do you think people will care now that she's in the WNBA?

It doesn't matter.

The viewership was all about

Clark v Reese
Clark v UConn
Clark v the Transgender Champions* South Carolina

I am a lifelong sports fan and those three games plus last year's Natty Clark vs LSU are the only 4 games of Women's basketball I have ever watched. And most sports fans are just like me.

No Clark....No watch. Viewership will drop dramatically next year without Clark.

From historical highs?... Well obviously. It doesn't take a Nobel Prize winner to figure that out buddy.

But it won't go away either as long as a university and their fans are attached to the program.

Remember the crazies during Louisiana Tech runs, UConn/Tenn rivalry, UConn monster winning streak, UConn & Mya Moore, Baylor & Griner, UConn massive upset loss against State... People will tune in outside of the respective fanbases when something extraordinary is happening like CC this year.

So no Clark isnt WBB

You mean Caitlin “ 10-28, 7-18 in last two games” Clark?
She was fun to watch, no doubt, but so much star power in the collegiate women’s game now so I think the sport is in good hands.

I watched some of the game last night. First time Ive ever watched women basketball. I was enjoying it. I tuned in the see her play. I tuned right back out as soon as I found out their ball is smaller but the hoop is the same size.

I didn't like her in the end. On a post-game interview she responded to a question about her teammates and she referred to them "Our girls will be ready for next game..." Like she was an owner of the team and referred to her teammates as our girls." I didn't like that. She also took 30 shots and was 35% from the field. She forced bad shots because she wanted it to be about her and the nati have her light up scoreboard.

She thought she was bigger than the game. I would love, love, love to see her join BIG3 and play men. I don't think she realizes that you can find 8 guys on a court in Nola public parks at any time that would beat her by a significant margin.

Add in the pasty white, big nose, tomboy persona bc whether you agree or not, we will always judge the womans players on attractiveness at some level.

She's just not that good. Too one-dimensional. Very overrated. Bye bye.

WBB ( college and pro) with the guidance of ESPN owe her a tremendous debt of gratitude.
She pushed Griner aside (almost off a cliff) as the face of women's basketball.
I think there was one Griner story the past two months about Griner having a one year contract next year. That's all
Clark dominated and deflected for which the sport may be thankful . Or jealously will rule. Time will tell.

She should stay in college. WNBA is a joke. Right now she is the most famous face ever in women’s BB. More opportunity for NIL than she will ever see in the WNBA.
