The solace I took from UCONN tonight was: We made the final four in Basketball and could be back as soon as next year, while they will never sniff the CFB playoff, 12/16 teams or not.

UCONN went to the Fiesta Bowl like 10 years ago with 4 losses, because the Big East was trash. If there was a 16-team playoff, they might have gotten in. They got spanked by whoever they played (I don't remember).
