You’re in denial turd tiger. I support the military, and am also veteran. But the tough truth is the military members of 2001 after 911 or even before are not the same of today. They join for money mostly or to get their life back on track, and various other reasons. Not all of those reasons are bad, some are, but most do not join simply because they love America and are willing to give their life for a bullet like my compadres and I did in Iraq.

Stfu. It's the same as it always has been.

I'd argue that today (trump and biden years) , those joining are more heavily on the committed side given the available options

Without getting too deep into it, let me be very clear; you are not at all correct.

You're speaking as an enlisted man - a man I have great respect for - but not a man, or woman, that chooses to attend a Service Academy. If you go back, and read real slowly, you'll find that our discussion was about Service Academies.

Nobody does it like you buddy. You are one of the last true Americans. All these other pussy volunteers don’t hold a candle to your service and dedication.
