You can still be arrested for DUI for blowing under .08. Regardless of your opinion about “barely being able to feel impairment”, the law is what it is. Go ahead and argue that to the judge and see how far it gets you. I’d pay to see that.

He did not consent to a field sobriety test and told the officer that he would push his car home if need be.

The arresting officer reports that Etienne was swaying from side to side when he talked, his eyes were glossed over, and his speech was slurred. Based on the observed reckless driving and Etienne’s admission that he had been drinking the officer went forward with the arrest.

Etienne could face a one-game suspension according to policy for DUI in the Georgia athletic handbook.

I’m not arguing that genius. I’m saying that someone called the guy trashy and that’s BS. He’s a kid who thought he was sobered up from the night before, and he did, but not to 0%. He left because he wasn’t feeling it anymore and didn’t know any better.

The only thing he did to break the law was drink underage. I don’t think there’s a single person on an LSU board that didn’t drink underage. That’s my point. I can’t believe I’m reading on an LSU board that it’s trashy for a 19 year old to drink. His driving was no more impaired than any of us who wouldn’t be guilty of a damn thing if we blew under a 0.08. Sorry my point goes way over your head.
