Them not putting any weight on conference championship weekend is a travesty. How in the world do you give #1 overall seed UCONN 4 teams that won their conference tournament in their bracket? They got the hardest bracket and they’re the best team in the committee’s eyes.

Purdue gets an absolute cakewalk to the Elite 8 and UCONN has to go through FAU and Auburn to make it there.

How does Auburn get seeded as a 4 seed after steamrolling three NCAA tournament teams on a neutral court?

The committee has gotten lazy by putting no weight on conference championship weekend and it needs to be addressed.

Auburn isn't a blue blood. Neither is Tennessee. It's as simple as that.

Because conference tournaments do not matter. It’s the most worthless post season tournament that we have, outside of the baseball conference tournament.

It’s important to teams on the bubble or to teams who are not in the field prior to it starting. That’s it.

It sucks for us but is absolutely brutal for UConn. Forget devaluing conference tournaments, they just completely devalued UConn's regular season by giving them the bracket of death as the number 1 overall seed.

The leader of the committee just said they took in to consideration the conference tournaments they seeded teams and specifically mentioned AU.

We may have been a 5 seed. They talked out lack of quad one wins.

No Auburn fan is surprised. Went through the same thing in 2019. We're just saying it's stupid.

Yeah, the conference championship should mean something.

But the one team I do not want to win is UConn. Selfishly, I don't want them to repeat, since the Gators were the last team to do so. Let's go Auburn.

They should matter. Who’s playing hot at the end of the year is taken into consideration by the CFP committee, why doesn’t the NCAA tournament do the same?

UConn probably understands this is a tournament to determine the national champion and it’s not supposed to be easy.

Do they understand why Purdue was given a much easier path though?

they'll have to use SWAC computers to sustain the equity already in place for Committee chair Charles McClelland -

At least we won't be losing to Samford in the 1st round.

The committee is lazy. They basically set the bracket on Friday and only make changes they are forced to do.

The Comittee chair is on ESPN and says they chose the teams based on mileage from the regional sites WTF

Tennessee should be in Memphis if they used logic instead of mileage. But Charlotte is closer to Knoxville.

Because there are 3 times as many games played in basketball.

This year, for Arkansas the SECt mattered. Overall though, teams have just over 4 months to build their resume. Playing 2-5 games in a conference tourney doesn’t move the needle much when there is such a large sample size of everyone for the committee.
