Well, that's certainly one way to spin it.

But is it not true? Is it not true that Bertman missed the NCAA tournament more in his first 5 years as HC as Vitello has as HC the last 5 years? Its also true that Vitello won same amount of SEC Championships, and Omaha trips as Bertman did through his first 5 years as a HC, as Vitello right now through 5 years.

Since you’re looking for reassurance, I assure you that Tennessee still hasn’t won shite… like ever

This isn't much of a flex.
Real baseball fans understand the tournament was only 36 teams in Bertman's early days and later expanded to 48.
It's now 64, much easier to make the tournament when the field is twice as large.

Beat LSU arse 40-13 last time they played in Death Vally!! And I expect the Vols to win the series this year when hall travel to Knoxville this year.

Ok let’s look at wins then in first 5 years, since making Omaha isn’t the standard all of sudden. Just keep moving the goal post here you realize that Vitello is just as good as your legend to stsrt their careers through first 5 years.
Vitello- 220-97, .694% SEC wins 83
Skip- 216- 95, .694% SEC wins 79
And the SEC wasn’t as strong when Bertman was HC as it is now in Baseball.

I realize Tennessee fans are new to baseball but making Omaha and making the NCAA tournament aren't the same thing...

I guess all of the Vol baseball fans never heard of Mike Martin, he didn't ever get to Omaha did he?

I know everyone likes to hate on Vitello, but I think he’s ahead of a lot of the coaches named above in the same time frame. He was in Omaha in his 3rd as a HC(didn’t count Covid year) with a team that won 7 SEC games year before he took over.
Buddy, all of the head coaches above won national titles. Only thing Vitello has under his belt is most wins in a regular season and an SEC Tournament Championship. Still hasn't made it to the National Title, let alone won it. So no, he's not better than the rest. I don't care about timeframe, because he had the (no doubt) best team in 2022, and yet couldn't even make it to Omaha. That was a catastrophic failure that was entirely deserved due to his arrogance and allowing his players to act the way they did. I sincerely hope he never wins a National Championship with Tennessee, but instead continues to choke when it matters most.
