re: Good Game LSU

Good game man. We'll probably meet again in Birmingham.
Unfortunantely, I called it at the start of the year. We lost so much talent in the 2023 MLB Draft. However I didn't think we'd be this bad.
How the hell does LSU have better banners than Tennessee men's basketball?
There's fanatics, and then there's Alabama fanatics.
Honestly, with how good they looked in the conference opener, I'd say that, provided the ball bounces in their favor, they are championship contenders this year. I mean, I'd rather Mississippi State compared to the Tennessee Volun-tears.

Maybe, but I don't really know. Someone I know talked about McNeese St. making the NCAA Tournament, but wasn't too mad at McMahon for losing in the NIT. I also don't follow LSU basketball. Baseball's in full swing (pun intended) with the opening of SEC play.
Here. This is part of why I don't watch college basketball.
The Greatest head coach in all of College Football. I respect how he handled and controlled his players on the team, and how he didn't waste his talent, but even with lesser talent than years past, he still takes the best team in the nation down to OT. One hell of a coach Bama got. Best of luck in retirement, Saban.

What's up with Texas?

Why are people saying that Texas is mad at us and saying that Texas is saying that we "bought out their players"?
I see you're counting Tennessee's imaginary off-season titles as well.

I know everyone likes to hate on Vitello, but I think he’s ahead of a lot of the coaches named above in the same time frame. He was in Omaha in his 3rd as a HC(didn’t count Covid year) with a team that won 7 SEC games year before he took over.

Buddy, all of the head coaches above won national titles. Only thing Vitello has under his belt is most wins in a regular season and an SEC Tournament Championship. Still hasn't made it to the National Title, let alone won it. So no, he's not better than the rest. I don't care about timeframe, because he had the (no doubt) best team in 2022, and yet couldn't even make it to Omaha. That was a catastrophic failure that was entirely deserved due to his arrogance and allowing his players to act the way they did. I sincerely hope he never wins a National Championship with Tennessee, but instead continues to choke when it matters most.
Ok then. Could be a fun game maybe.

No repeat this year

As far as it's looking, I don't think LSU repeats this year. I mean the offense struggled to even score with runners in position against NIU. They ended up winning, but they played some more cupcake teams and they ended up beating them. This team is far from ready for conference play. If they cannot score with runners on base against lesser teams, how do we stack up against Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Auburn, etc.?

Oh, I remember that fateful super regional. It wasn't pleasant. It spoiled a pleasant weekend in North Louisiana with my parents and grandparents visiting my uncle and cousins.
