Do recruits feel that Mike Elko is the most boring hire in CFB history?

Yes they do.

They do. Absolutely they do.

He fancies himself as some type of private school elitist

He's almost never been to the south, or west of the Mississippi River

I'm just now realizing I've never seen a video of him speaking, and I don't want to

Has he ever consumed southern cuisine? Hell no. He has not.

He looks like Ed Asner from the Mary Tyler Moore Show

You are the zenith of cognitive function for the entire state of Arkansas.

You can’t expect aTm to hire anyone worth a damn. It’s a job where careers die. Think about who was the last successful coach in college Station?
There was never such a thing or at least nobody has lived to see it.

Your points are valid. Hell never match the recruiting success of Pitboss.

Hopefully never match on field success either.

Yes they do. -- I doubt it.

They do. I'm sure of it. -- You have no idea.

He fancies himself as some type of private school elitist -- Not at all. He's like Will Hunting...brilliant but willing to do the necessary blue collar work.

He's almost never been to the south, or west of the Mississippi River -- He spent 4 seasons in the homeland.

I'm just now realizing I've never seen a video of him speaking, and I don't want to -- He's on the Andy Staples show today.

Has he ever even consumed southern cuisine? Hell no, he has not. -- Have you seen his belly...he loves him some Texas beef barbecue.

He looks like Ed Asner from the Mary Tyler Moore Show -- If you squint I guess.

You're trying to hard you old drunk.
A&M will take the win, again, from your hapless hogs.

eh, I'm done with Characters for coaches. Sumlin and his swag, Jimbo and his auctioneer speech pattern.

I will take a boring disciplinarian who knows him some football right now and be happy doing it.

boring =/= bad

Mike Elko might not set the world on fire, but he’s a good coach.

Where do you think College Station is located?

Texas high school coaches seem to be pretty happy with Elko in charge, as he has made them more of a priority than Jimbo ever did.

He’s the dark horse SEC COTY. He has a damn good shot at being SEC champ.
