by 2020ChampsIf a fan or player gets seriously hurt or killed, will schools stop people from charging on the court/field. So players who have just been in an emotional game are expected to put up with fans in their face and pushing and shoving them. If I was in their place I would clearing a pathway to get to the locker room to get out the danger zone. In my opinion it is shelf defense. Act like you have been there before!

It’s not really “IF” someone gets hurt. I don’t know about BB, but there are injuries almost every time the fans rush a football field. And there have even been very serious injuries. These are kept VERY quiet by most schools for obvious reasons.

There have also been plenty of cases of drunk fans confronting, and even assaulting, players on the losing team, and sometimes the players react - seems like we had a big fuss just a couple years ago over a Bama player who allegedly shoved some drunk bitch who had rushed the field….

One example of the “innocent fun”:
It’s been a few years, but down at the smelliest village a MAJOR incident was averted when security was able to stop a mob of aub fans who had torn down the goalposts after beating us - and they were headed up the stands; apparently to throw them off the back of the stadium over the entrance to the visiting team locker room.

Just “good clean fun” Right?

This shite won’t stop until something serious is done - and sad to say, that won’t happen until someone loses their life.

As we all know, the drunkard fans DO NOT CARE if the school has to write a fat check. It has to be something as serious as a Forfeit - or loss of a home game the next season; or something just as impactful to the fans. Maybe a playoff ban for that season.

Otherwise it won’t ever stop.

The penalties SHOULD be serious, much, much more serious for offending “fans”.

Personally, if they would have mass detentions by security/police, take the offenders out of the stadium, line them up against a concrete wall and shoot them in the back of the head one by one, pretty sure that would solve the problem.
