That’s not a melt, it’s a question.

How does this decision benefit college football?

Irrationaly?

Because I hate the NCAA

Rationally?

I got nothing. But seriously, if the NCAA had something in place or other entities who care about the sport, then that would be something to consider. But no one has anything in place. If that's the case, then it's not fair to go after Tennessee over it even though I do hate them very much

Because every NIL collective is 100 percent setup like ours. If we're wrong so are you.

Yep, exactly.

I do see Tuscaloosa's point. Somebody's gotta enforce something before shite gets completely out of hand (it already has really). But NCAA is hardly the ones to do it anymore.

The headline might as well read:

TENNESSEE HANDS THE NCAA THE DEATH PENALTY

I see you've moved on from Denial to Anger.

Keep working through it. It gets easier.

I think NCAA has gone too far to come back from their errors but what they should've done is said, "ok those first few years when we told y'all to follow the laws of your state and didn't regulate? well, we're going to forget about that. But now starting on X date, we're going to come up with rules for NIL that we can all agree on."

If they'd done that I think they could've survived all this but they keep digging in and refusing to acknowledge that NIL changed things and that they can't undo those years they went running to congress hoping to be bailed out. They need to move forward but they won't.
