My expectation to start this season was that Wes is going to need time to put his pitching staff together. I'm confident he can put a staff together of 2-3 starters that are reliable. In my mind, pitching is king in college. If you can get a good staff, you can go far. In the first season, I have seen improvement in pitching, with only what we currently have on the roster.

This game sucks but, I'm ready to see what comes next season and after that.

To be clear, I’m not down on Wes or the trajectory of the program. This was always the inevitable conclusion; we don’t have the arms to make much noise against motivated teams in the postseason.

I just HATE going into games with a chance and basically rolling over. Wes knows what these arms are, we never intended to come into Hoover and actually compete unless someone caught fire or LSU just fricked up.

I’m also still pissed about the Friday game against Florida which is clouding my demeanor

Yea, we always knew pitching was the problem. They’ve had some good points and losing our #1 from a couple injuries hurts. Not sure his status heading to regionals, but it’s frustrating we can’t even hit this chump on the 3rd time through the lineup.
LSU pitching isn’t that good and I thought our bats would carry today.

Anyways, don’t think anyone thought we would be in contention to host, much less hosting a Super. This season has well exceeded expectations. Hopefully we can ride it into recruiting and make another run next year with pitching
