AL.com's initial reporting was atrocious.

IIRC, the overall story had actually begun to quiet down when Carol Robinson decided to post an extremely poorly-worded "BM provided the gun" headline — implying that he was there and directly involved — and it suddenly took off like a rocket.

That one clickbait headline immediately started making the rounds, especially on twitter, and almost no one even bothered to read the story for context. Carol embarked on a media tour herself.

They went back later and quietly edited that story to remove the word "provided" in the headline and changed the article body to read that he was asked to bring it back, noting that Miller didn't know what was happening.

IMO to this day people still think BM was involved in the actual shooting because of Carol's unfortunate choice of words, and the circus that followed.

Robinson is an Auburn hack. She doesn't include that story in the list of her supposed great accomplishments. I cant find Goodmans initial article but from my memory his initial article said Miller went and retrieved the gun delivered it to Miles. That is not what happened. It is amazing how the press doesnt care about Miller now that he isnt playing for Alabama.

That wasn't poorly worded. That's what she intended to say.
