I think Deboer is a good coach and Bama will be in the playoff this year. I question his ability to recruit to the almost impossible Bama standard, but I think he's a proven coach.
Having said that, a talented roster alone won't cut it. A&M had the 3rd best roster in the SEC last season talent wise and... well they weren't the 3rd best team. They were more like 8th.
For those who think Deboer isn't a good coach, predicting 4-5 losses isn't ridiculous. Talent with a bad coach = Texas A&M.

He's done a pretty damn good job in his career thus far at beating teams with more talent than him. Logic would tell you that he'll do well with one of the most talented rosters in cfb.
