A lot of haters out but I will say this, it is unlikely that any CFB team breaks that record. It is much tougher than people think.

By year 2 your upperclassmen are all gone and by year 3 almost all of those championship quality dudes have graduated or declared for the draft. Leadership and mentality are what creates the consistency to win 47 in a row and it's hard to lose that year after year

Looks like EVERYBODY knows how tough it is. I guess I was right after all. I mean, who the frick thinks winning 61 games in a row isn't nearly impossible and may never be matched?

Yeah and they only played 10 or 11 games a season back then.

Georgia was at 29. That means that they would have had to win that one, the 2 playoff games.. That would have put them at 32. They would still have to go undefeated again just to tie it.
