Man bama is struggling. They want to compare historical record but nothing else. They claim to be better but only in the categories they choose. SAD! Let’s compare hardware, draft picks, something! Pathetic bunch, really.

True. Head to head record against a specific team doesn't matter beyond comparison of the two programs.
Just like making it to a final four only matters if you're able to use that to recruit a better team that helps you win a natty.
I feel this way about every sport.
