Our BOT's infatuation with fricking screens is ridiculous.
ETA: At least they admit they are designing it with future renovations in mind, so hopefully the plans that got released a few years ago for the north endzone aren't dead.

At least they've got a plan for the long rumored expansion built into this project. I'd hate it if they just slapped this on, and then had to remove it or something for that expansion.

The giant screens suck. You can build something that does the job without frying half the stadium's retinas. It's wasted money.

What infatuation, this isn't as giant, and it's needed to have one on the other end of the field with the same aspect ratio as the one we have.

We have 1 big screen in the south and they plan on putting 1 smaller screen to the north and you call that infatuation? I think it's important the south end zone doesn't have to break their neck to see replays like the rest of the stadium. What's the big deal? This is fine and complaining about an improvement to the stadium only furthers the postponement of any improvement to the stadium. This will be a catalyst to finish seating and north stadium exterior look improvements I would think. I hope the president signs it this time, and we can start that whole process of the rest of the improvements the stadium needs.. Because right now the exterior looks like a high school stadium on the north side.

I’m all for this, especially if there’s a plan for more in that end zone. I’d have an issue if it were a monstrosity of a screen like the other, but this seems perfectly fine. That north end zone is an eye sore and the stadium just seems so imbalanced visually.

This will be what, the 4th major jumbotron installation we've had since we've done any significant stadium renovation that has been desperately needed? Yes, I would say that is an infatuation.
As I said in this thread and in the other thread, i'm glad the plans seem to be taking into account future renovations to the north endzone, but those renovations have been in discussions for a decade, and what do we get? A new screen and still no progress on actually renovating the stadium. We are good at two things happening, discussing upgrades to the stadium and actually upgrading the jumbotrons.

It will look strange, but one idea is that Suites would wrap around the back of the endzone (Which is why the score board sits so high). You can tell that from the picture. They would then expand right and left of it.

Additional drawings. Can see there will be rooms underneath. Can then expand left, right and down. New seats in front. Bottom level is current concourse.

Is there a place to get larger/higher res images? I am trying to read the descriptions on the diagrams but the text blurs when I zoom.
