8 million over 4 years is 2 million a year. Florida actually did a pay for play scheme for 13 million to a QB they couldn’t afford and released him from his letter because of it. Kid then signed with Miami for 9 million. Spyre wasn’t offering the kid anything to come to Tennessee, and in fact was below what schools were paying.

Fisher may have been lying out his arse, but he was smart enough to say he and his program had nothing to do with NIL payments, and avoid the subject entirely.
