Mississippi may be a poor state in comparison to others; but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have wealthy alums who can contribute to NIL. In the case of Ole Miss, it has the law and medical school. Lawyers and doctors pretty much occupy the highest income levels.

So what. You ever look at a list of the "wealthiest" states in the country? Pretty sure the top 10 might have one decent college football program in the entire bunch. The northeast of the US hasn't sniffed a top football team in probably half a century. All you need is a handful of ultra wealthy alumni and you have a successful NIL collective.
