It isn’t so mighty until the Missouri River confluence.

The Mississippi is misnamed and should be called the Missouri River.

No, it should be called the Ohio if standard naming conventions were followed. The flow in the Ohio is greater than in the Mississippi at its confluence.

Should be Illinois River. They have the most shoreline of the Mississippi.
