For me, it was a basketball game of all things...
Bama v. Loyola in the Sweet 16.
Lost at the last second. We did everything right, but couldn't come out with the W against a team that was heavily favored and a national favorite (due to the sad death of Hank Gathers earlier in the year).
Man, I wanted to see the team win that game and go to the Elite 8 for the first time.

2008 SEC Championship. I was 14 and convinced we had just blown the one chance to win a championship in my lifetime
