What is the one thing all the Heisman candidates at QB had last year had in common?

They were all transfers.

Nobody is recruiting high-caliber QBs out of high school and successfully moving them through their own depth chart for 3-4 years any more.

It’s nearly impossible to do.

Wouldn’t shock me is Sayin transfers 1-2 more times before he’s done.

I get that he looked great on tape and paper, but I’m not really sweating what our 2025 depth chart is going to look like right now.

Penix was a transfer but he was definitely developed by DeBoer/Grubb.

Also everyone likes to claim UGA as the new standard yet Beck isn't a transfer. They don't have any highly touted 5 star QBs on their roster either.

With the 4 guys we have currently I'm not worried about QB.

Penix was with DeBoer his entire career.
