Great safety play is a luxury, great QB play is a necessity.
And not only that, its what the loss of Sayin says about this staff. When Bama hired an offensive guy it was expected that some on the other side of the ball would look around. You hire an offensive guy expecting to keep guys like Sayin to build on. Essentially Sayin is.... sayin'.... that he would rather play for Tommy Rees than Kalen DeBoer

Impact wise absolutely. A safety can be schemed to reduce their effectiveness in a game. You can hide an average one or scheme to limit a great one. QB impacts every snap. You can’t hide a bad QB.
