I was always proud to be an LSU fan but I vividly remember 2003 when all of a sudden people who I never saw watch a game or wear a piece of gear, were all about the Tigers. It’s one of the prices you pay to enjoy success.

Been a UGA fan since 1974 when my dad got free tickets to Georgia Tech / Clemson and I wound up sitting about 9 inches from a column that blocked the entire field. 3 weeks later he and I listened to UGA beat UK in Lexington on the Radio in a close one and I have been a UGA fan every since. If Tech engineers could have designed a stadium that did not have columns to support the upper deck in the lower deck I might have been a Tech fan. I shudder at the thought. I suspect I'd have come to my senses in 1980 though.

AT any rate that is some 49 years ago. I was 9. I have not missed more than 2 UGA games in those 49 years...and that is 8 missed quarters, not entire games. A quarter here, a half a quarter there...that sort of thing. This has involved surgeries, funerals, weddings, birthdays and all manner of shite...including living over seas for nearly 7 years. About as non-bandwagon as one can get. I welcome one and all into the Georgia family. The more the merrier! It is, as we say, great to be a Georgia Bulldog...and being an admirer of humanity I would love to see more people as happy as being a Dawg fan has made me loe this 49 years!
