I said this on another board. Coach replacements is all about timing. While there is never a good time to replace the Goat......this was a great hire.

It appears to be similar to when Urban Meyer was hired at UF. He had done well at Bowling Green and Utah and was the next big thing in coaching. I believe that DeBoer is that coach, without nearly the baggage that CUM proved to have.

I agree that Saban had lost a bit in recent years. The penalties alone was enough to make you pull your hair out.
