Bama's push to get TRob back seems like a Saban move, pulling some strings ...

behind the scenes in his new role.

I'm guessing DeBoer's heart wasn't really in it, and TRob sensed it and stayed put.

Ought to be an interesting off-season.

If TRob's not in Tuscaloosa, he's just not wanted there.

Glad he is gone. Clean the slate.

Seems like TRob made a knee jerk decision honestly

Turning down a full DC position after accepting a co-DC position is weird no matter how you slice it. Haven’t seen the offer details obviously but don’t sign me up for a dude that passes up the full playcalling duties for shared ones

Consider yourself unsigned.

@ T-rob telling DeBoer "no" and rather be a Co-DC at Georgia than DC at Bama. ...

Glad we dodged that kind of low-T energy. Good luck to him though

Sounds like he thinks it will help his career more to a co-DC for Kirby versus a full DC for Coach Meh.

Getting a lot of that 'low-T energy' from the Tide fan base the last few days.

If he’s not confident enough to do it on his own in the SEC right now by all means go somewhere you can keep the training wheels on until you are

Like I said I don’t want to gamble on someone who isnt ready

Been telling people Saban was making questionable decisions.

Team has been successful for a really long time so we’re overdue for a culling of the herd

Their is no denying his ability to recruit. With the defensive staff we have we don’t need him to be a play caller for the defense. We have that. We have a chance to become the program. Locking down a very good coach and an elite recruiter is a step towards being the team for the next 3-5 years..

These days coaching > recruiting ability. Let the boosters get the talent, and the coaches get the most out of them.

Recruiting is important and he’s good enough at that, but I don’t want to hire a DC just to recruit. I need him to be good at actually coordinating. If TRob doesn’t think he’s ready to fly solo so be it, we kept our best two recruiters on staff anyway

Sometimes the lesser title is actually a better job.

Being Co-DC at UGA is considered a better job than DC at Alabama. At least, according to TRob.

Sorry, not sorry.

Like I said, if you prefer sharing duties and aren’t up for being the sole play-caller, I can respect the awareness, but I don’t want that lack of confidence coordinating the defense

Sorry, not sorry
