He was a hardass, sure, but he was almost always complimentary to his opposition. Reading between the lines, he lways seemed like a good person, fundamentally, underneath it all. Not out being unfaithful to his family or drinking or commiting crimes. Not a true a-hole.

Now, who knows? Something may come out at some point. I hope not, but it it's always possible.
