So you already know which players are transferring and which ones are staying? Who's signing and who's decommitting? Can you fill the rest of us in?

I’m consistently realistic or pessimistic when it comes to Alabama football, and I’m extremely excited and extremely hopeful about this guy. I think this is a home run hire. Seems like a hard working guy that loves football. His emotional talk about his former players sold him for me. I’m all in, and if it takes a season to get the whole thing in place that’s fine, but based on CKD’s track record I suspect he will be ahead of schedule.

No, but I can guarantee most of them stay and he will be walking into a better situation than just about any other newly hired coach in the SEC does.

Amarilla Tide is exactly right. I was born in 1940 and attended Alabama between 1958 and 1964 and there have only been two big mistakes made in hiring coaches at Alabama in my life time. They were both made when the president of the University either did not care about or did not understand the importance of Alabama football. They were when they hired Ears Whitworth instead of Bryant in the late 1950's and Bill Curry instead of Bobby Bowden after Perkins resigned. Hiring Coach DeBoer is no mistake.
