Look, I understand it's your job to keep the controversy up, Finebaum style, so people keep replying. But, the constant state of crisis with this board, and the general media has gotten tiresome.

Maybe we haven't had 2 CBs drafted in the first round the same year. But, we've usually had multiple eventual first rounders on the team. It just so happens we have two leaving the same year.

Is TR good? Apparently. Saban hired him, and now he's at UGA. He's a good recruiter. But, most of the staff always changes when there's a new head coach. This was always likely.

My guess is Deboer will indeed have a DC next year and probably one more experienced than TR. My guess is Deboer will also try to recruit well, AND even try to hire good recruiters.

This is all buddy needs to know...

Nick Saban (the defensive back coach) turned a WALKON (Levi Wallace) into a high draft prospect before TRob was thought of...but he talking about what a big loss he is lol...the BIGGEST LOSS is Nick Saban and Downs is still here.

These guys came because of Saban not anything else.

Being a good co-DC/position and being a good solo DC is are different animals. I’m not sure why people think that T Rob as a solo DC would have been a sure thing. If it was, I think someone would have already hired him into that role.

The defense was good this year, but T Rob was also on the staff when it was suspect in ‘22.
