Monty Brewster owes his whole existence to Alabama. Saban spawned so many alters. But Monty’s dad is Deboer. I guess the torch has officially been passed down.

Bama after Saban = Bud Light
DeBoer = Dylan Mulvaney

Like Bud Light, Bama may never recover. It hasn’t sunk in yet, but may I remind you that the best coach of all time hadn’t even fielded a championship team in 6 years, and DeBoer is one holy hell of a downgrade. You’re not LSU. Shitty coaches don’t win championships at Alabama.

I think Deboer will do very well this year and next.

My question for him is if he can maintain Bama's recruiting excellence. He's only stayed at Division 1 coaching jobs for a couple of years, so he hasn't really had an opportunity to show his ability to consistently recruit.

He has shown he can coach the recruits of others very well. I see no reason why that changes at Bama. But if he can't keep Bama in the top 3 of recruiting without Saban signing the majority of the class like this year, Bama will slide in the long run. But it will be slow and won't really impact this season or next that much.
