See, this is my point, screw that... Even if CNS himself told Kiffin after he got fired during the playoff to never come back we should put that aside and bury it to go out and make the best hire possible. Bygones be bygones. It's not as if Lane wasn't in a hard situation trying to build his new team and coach for Bama at the same time, and there wasn't much precedence for that back then so it was harder to navigate.

If were gonna let people "whoever they are" deny this program the best option available because they got an ax to grind that's a trajedy. This is business, check your "feelings" at the fricking door.

That wasn't what I was referring to by burning bridges. There was more than a little smoke that Kiff may have fooled around with a major booster or board members wife. No idea if it's actually true but it wouldn't surprise me.
