This isn't a ridiculous take. Half the fan base will crucifying him every time the team doesn't perform well, and good forbid we lose to a mediocre team. And the big boosters will be trying to edge their way back in after Saban shut them out. The next guy will have a lot of distractions to have to deal with. It's harsh to say no one will survive, but the first guy will have a target on his back when the standard drops. And it will. Nick Sabans don't grow on trees and aren't easy to find.

You mean like we did with Saban? The next guy better sack up. But to say the next coach WILL fail is a ridiculous

It's a losers take. You should be acknowledging that it's the best job in the country and we need to find a worthy coach.

And let's face it, the coaching could have been better in the last few years.
